Where to Stay and Things to do

There are plenty of places to stay in and around Nant Yr Arian. Details of local Bed & Breakfast and hotels can be found at the Welsh Tourist Board. For those who prefer canvas there are Campsites within the area and for caravaners we recommend one of our sponsors Woodlands Caravan Park in Devils Bridge who are ideally situated for both races. The nearest Youth Hostel is in Borth, 6 miles North of Aberystwyth. Details of things to do around Nant Yr Arian and Ponterwyd can be found on the Pumlumon.org interactive map and absolutely everything you need to know about Aberystwyth and what to do there can be found in Was' Aberystwyth Guide. One trip worth trying if you want to see some lovely Welsh scenery is the Rheidol narrow gauge railway which runs from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge.

The Hafod Estate, a truely beautiful place.

The Devils race is run through the beautiful Hafod Estate where there are loads of great walks through some 200 hectares of the Ystwyth valley and surrounding hills. Most is owned by the Forestry Commission who, in partnership with the Hafod Trust is managing a conservation and restoration project with public and private funding.
